Phoebus Design involves designing an SBC with pre-qualified onboard components to operate without failure in extreme temperatures. It is also mandatory that each board undergoes a 5-day testing for operation under extreme temperatures.
The test ensures that the selected SBC continues to operate and boots up properly under two extreme environments: |

Phoenix Operation is categorized into two different grades: Phoenix Gold and Phoenix Platinum. These grades signify different temperature profiles that a single board computer has to 100% pass to be certified as a Phoenix Operation board. |

During Phoenix Operations, selective SBC's undergo 12 cycles of dynamic burn-in tests for a total of more than 16 hours. The temperature profile is -20 ~ 80º C for Phoenix Gold, -40 ~ 85º C for Phoenix Platinum. Advantech ensures that each SBC delivers 100% performance under each temperature profile. SBC's that have passed the Phoenix Operation are perfect for applications in environments with fast-changing temperature. |
