串行转换器及中继器
大多数工业电脑系统采用标准RS-232串行端口。尽管RS-232使用广泛,但它限制了传输速率、范围和网络功能。RS-422/485标准通过利用差分电压线传输数据和控制信号,克服了上述局限性。串行转换器提供串行网络和其他媒体之间的转换。他们不仅能够透明地将RS-232信号转换为无线和光纤信号,而且也能转换为RS-422/485信号。
